Do you always feel troubled people looking at your screen when you are working and that too when you are doing something important? Your browser tabs shows the title of the page you have opened, but you don’t feel like sharing that as well. The solution is available under Google Extensions, called “Panic Button”.
Installing this Extension to your Chrome will let you hide all your tabs just at a click of a button. And trust me it’s really easy. You can even set a keyboard shortcut (Default: F12) and just pressing the button immediately hides all your tabs. Don’t worry as using the same button or the keyboard shortcut will even get all your tabs back. You can even set a Password for tab restoration and make it further safe!!
Let me know if this was a useful post for you all through your comments.

Microsoft releases free antivirus ‘Morro’ a.k.a. Microsoft Security Essentials
. The new free antivirus software from Microsoft, codenamed as “Morro” is actually called ‘Microsoft Security Essentials’ which Microsoft released yesterday and is now available for download as Beta.
Microsoft Security Essentials is designed to occupy less space and supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, and the forthcoming Windows 7 operating system. The new Microsoft free antivirus gives full protection from Viruses, Spyware, Rootkits, and Trojans, similar to other paid enterprises antivirus software. It is a big blow for those antivirus companies whose earn their yearly income of billions of dollars from their paid security software.
J.R. Smith, CEO of AVG, said:
Microsoft’s new offering will be good for consumers and good for the security market overall because it will raise awareness that security products are necessary. He expects that companies like AVG, Kaspersky, and Symantec will be able to provide more extensive protection than Microsoft is offering.

“Internet Explorer Loses Top Spot in Europe For The First Time”
We know that Firefox is growing fast in the browser market but for the first time it overtook the number one browser Internet Explorer in the Europe. The firm StatCounter Global Stats reports that in the month of December, Firefox took 38.11% of European market share, compared to IE’s 37.52%. And Google Chrome in third place is gaining market share in Europe and has grown to 14.58% compared to 5.06% in December 2009.
This is the first time IE is loosing its number one position, the reason for loosing share is because Google Chrome is stealing IE share while Firefox is maintaining its existing position.

According to Aodhan Cullen, CEO, StatCounter “We are probably seeing the impact of the agreement between European Commission competition authorities and Microsoft, to offer Europe users a choice and menu of browsers”.
In North America and world-wide IE remains at first position with a clear lead in browser market with 48.92% followed by Firefox (26.7%), Chrome (12.82%) and Safari (10.16%).

HTC EVO Shift For Sprint First Of Many 4G Devices At CES
The tidal wave of 4G phones at CES is just beginning with this morning's launch of the HTC EVO Shift 4G from Sprint. The follow-up to last year's popular HTC EVO 4G, the first 4G phone on Sprint's WiMAX network, sports a full QWERTY keyboard, runs Android 2.2 and supports HD video capture.
HTC EVO Shift 4G will be available on January 9 for $150 from Sprint as well as from all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores, and online at www.bestbuy.com/mobile. Best Buy Rewards Zone members can purchase their device on January 6.
The EVO Shift 4G doesn't have the large 4.3-inch display like its brother. Instead, it has a 3.6-inch display, which might seem like a downgrade to some. In my opinion, it actually makes a lot more sense however, given the extra bulk needed for the keyboard. The phone would simply be too large to accommodate for both. A real downgrade, however, is the lack of a front-facing camera. In my opinion, that was one of the biggest draws of the original EVO 4G.
The EVO Shift 4G is powered by an 800 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. This seems a bit slow when compared with the upcoming dual core-powered phones we'll see at the show (LG's Optimus 2x, for example). The processor is the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon, however, and in other phones we've tested. And hopefully, the EVO Shift 4G will be updated to Android 2.3 sooner rather than later, which should undoubtedly improve its performance overall. Like other Sprint 4G phones, the Shift 4G comes with Sprint's Mobile Hotspot, which lets you connect up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices.
The EVO Shift 4G is just the first of many 4G devices we'll see at CES this year. Verizon is expected to launch a slew of LTE phones from a variety of manufacturers (LG, Motorola, and HTC) at their press conference Thursday. Alongside the EVO Shift 4G, Sprint also released the MiFi 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Novatel Wireless . The MiFi debuts on Feb. 27 for $50.

BuiltWith – Check website analysis and SEO information with Online Tool
Webmasters and bloggers all over want to know more about their competition. This usually means looking up other websites. Getting too obsessed with the competition can actually be harmful, but a little bit of analysis and understanding is a good way to learn from your competition. BuiltWith is a website which allowed me to look up a lot of useful information on just about any website. BuiltWith Features
Just type in the name of the URL of the website you want information about. Once that is done a report is generated.
I could look up the website’s technology profile. Information like which servers are used and which platform, the site was hosted on including the version of the platform. It also gave information regarding which analysis tools (eg: Google Analytics) and advertising services (eg: AdSense, Ad Words and infolinks) were used.
Also it look up information on the Widgets and social media features which are present on the website.
When it comes to SEO related information, I got to look up decent information regarding keyword frequency and top 10 keywords being used. To view SEO related information you have to register free to access the data.
As I continued using BuiltWith, I found it quite useful to learn about various other platforms and things common to websites using those platforms like Blogger.com or WordPress. I do not think it will be helpful to analyse your own website. Use this one to do a bit of spying on your competitors.

Battle For the Newsstand: Google vs. Apple vs. E-readers
Google is gunning to compete against Apple, Amazon and Barnes & Noble to offer the top electronic newsstand for tablet devices, according to reports. Google is reportedly in talks with publishers such as Time, Condé Nast and Hearst to offer magazine subscriptions for Android devices. To entice publishers, Google is reportedly willing to take a smaller cut from publishers than Apple's typical 30 percent from iPhone and iPad applications. Google will also hand over more subscriber information to publishers than Apple currently does, according to The Wall Street Journal . Google's Android platform is far behind its competitors in terms of magazine and newspaper offerings. Numerous popular magazine titles including GQ, The Economist, Vanity Fair and Time offer full versions of their magazines on the iPad. While magazine publishers on Android offer only stripped down free versions.
The iPad has also inspired a new tablet-only magazine from Virgin called Project, and News Corp. is expected to launch a daily newspaper for the iPad in 2011. Amazon's Kindle and Barnes & Noble's Nook, meanwhile, offer a large range of digital magazine and newspaper subscriptions. Barnes and Noble offers subscriptions for its Nook color e-reader, but not its mobile applications for devices such as the iPad and Android phones. Amazon sells magazines and newspapers on all Kindle devices and the Kindle for Android app, but not on iOS devices.
Apple Newsstand
Rumors about a revamped magazine and newspaper subscription scheme for Apple's iOS devices have been circulating for several months. Currently, individual publishers design and sell magazines through individual applications. Offerings vary from individual issue sales, yearly subscriptions or supplying free digital editions to subscribers of their print editions.
Apple is purportedly hoping to change this scheme and offer in-app subscriptions for iOS devices. One reported sticking point between Apple and publishers since rumors of an Apple subscription plan first surfaced is access to subscriber information. Magazine and newspaper publishers say it is vital to their business to know who their subscribers are so they can offer special marketing and sales deals directed at their readers. But Apple does not share subscriber information with app developers. So many publishers sell digital subscriptions for the iPad through their Websites instead of a one-click subscription through an iOS app.
As a compromise for publishers, Apple may offer iPad users the chance to share their information with magazine publishers on an opt-in only basis, according to the Journal. Apple may also add the ability for subscriptions to be delivered automatically to a user's device under the new scheme.
So far, Google and Apple have not officially announced any newsstand plans.
Despite enthusiasm for the tablets as a new distribution mechanism for magazines, it's not clear how popular digital periodicals are. A recent report by the Audit Bureau of Circulations noted that some digital magazine subscriptions have dropped by as much as 40 percent since magazines started offering iPad editions earlier this year, according to Memo Pad.
